The 4word Art Gallery in the heart of historic downtown Salinas features the works of local artists in a beautiful vintage building which originally functioned as a mens haberdashy.

Arte Antigua is a brick-and-mortar gallery offering fine pre-Colombian art and artifacts of the ancient Americas. Located in historic Oldtown Salinas, California Arte Antigua is only one short block from the National Steinbeck Center in the heart of the burgeoning arts district.
While Arte Antigua specializes in high quality ancient art from the shaft tomb cultures of west Mexico (Nayarit, Colima, Michoacan and Jalisco) we also have pieces from many other Mexican cultures and from other areas of Meso-America and Latin America including Ecuador, Peru, Panama, Costa Rica and Colombia.
We are dedicated to bringing people from all cultures together through education, facilitation, and promotion of all disciplines of the arts in Monterey County, furthering intercultural understanding in our community, cultivating cultural tourism in Salinas, and the economic advancement of local artists and youth in the underserved population.
