2026 Higher Education Arts Scholarships
Application Period: February 2nd - March 2nd
Empowering the Next Generation of Artists
Are you a graduating high school senior with a passion for the arts? Don’t miss this opportunity to take your creative journey to the next level!
The Arts Council for Monterey County offers $2,500 in college scholarships to support students pursuing higher education in an arts-related field. In addition, the Joann Adair Memorial Scholarship, also $2,500, is available exclusively to one talented Salinas student focusing on the performing arts, and the Laurie Bend Scholarship for Graphic Design awards $2,500 to one Monterey County student pursuing education in graphic design.
Thanks to funding from the Emile Norman Charitable Trust, these scholarships are more than financial support—they’re an investment in your dreams and in Monterey County’s creative future. Whether you’re drawn to teaching, performing, or designing, career opportunities in creative fields are diverse and growing. The demand for teaching artists is rising in our region and across California, as communities increasingly value the role of arts education in inspiring young minds.
From graphic design and filmmaking to ceramics and literature, the possibilities are endless. A college program equips you with vital training, mentorship, and skills in business, marketing, and production to help you succeed in the arts.
