Description

For over 70 years, The Carmel Foundation has offered a wide variety of free or low-cost creative activities to engage the mind, spirit and body of adults 55 years and better on their Carmel campus. Older adults from throughout Monterey County participate. Classes offered include singing, Greek and line dancing, memoir writing, improv, Spanish conversation, yoga, Ji Gong and more. We also have ongoing painting, woodcarving, needlework and photography groups that meet once or twice weekly. The Carmel Foundation campus includes one of the only darkrooms available in Carmel, a longtime haven for photographers

In order to create a sense of community and belonging, The Carmel Foundation operates on a membership model. Yearly memberships for those 55 and older are a minimum donation of $55 a year. Scholarships are also available for those who need them.
