The mission of The Links, Inc, Monterey Bay Chapter is to be an organization committed to the development and implementation of programs that inspire people of African American origin through cultural, educational, and civic participation. We have accomplished this in our chapter by faithfully striving to be proactive and making a presence in the communities that we serve. By doing so, we have facilitated positive change in our chapter's service areas on the Monterey Peninsula, and globally have been able to transcend time, race, social, and economic differences by reaching out and partnering with other organizations.

The National Steinbeck Center is located in John Steinbeck’s hometown of Salinas, Calif., a scenic 17-mile drive from Monterey in the heart of Steinbeck Country. The Center offers three distinct visitor experiences in literature and history, agriculture and art, as well special events and educational programs.

The Parenting Connection of Monterey County is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that supports parents and caregivers in developing their ability to nurture young children who have a vision that families in Monterey County thrive because children are parented well. The PCMC value parent education that is delivered respectfully, is research-based, honors the whole parent and child, and is appropriate for each age and stage.

The Visiting Nurse Association & Hospice is dedicated to providing the highest quality health care to residents of the Central Coast by meeting their individual needs in an ethical, effective, caring, and fiscally responsive manner.
Our mission is to establish a viable street paper empowering and liberating opportunity for the homeless and marginalized population of Monterey County to voice their views, build useful publishing skills, build the community with a newspaper, provide income with the newspaper, and be a forum for community dialogue about the issues of homelessness and poverty in Monterey County.
The mission of Youth Arts Collective (YAC) is to provide a creative sanctuary for Monterey County youth ages 14 t 22 to explore their potential as artists as they develop personal awareness and self-esteem, social understanding, and an appreciation for contributing in positive ways to their community.
YAC provides supplies, studio space, art training, exhibition and commission opportunities, individual mentoring, and a community unlike any other. We’re open 4 hours a day, 6 days a week, year round.
YAC is open to the public:
Weekdays: 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Saturdays: 12:00 noon – 4:00 p.m.
Youth Music Monterey's mission is to inspire excellence in individual students and enrich our community by providing young people with opportunities to participate in, and gain greater understanding of, music and its performance.
