The Suri people of Ethiopia, who live in the country’s remote southwest corner, are a proud and resilient people with creative and exquisite adornment traditions. They are also passionate about preserving their culture and language. The Eloquent Suri of Ethiopia exhibition, on view already and through August 16 at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies (MIIS) in Monterey, introduces the Peninsula community to this engaging people, their art, culture and language.
