The Carmel International Film Festival celebrates and promotes the best in independent film, contemporary art and photography; nurtures the artists who are compelled to tell their stories in the medium of their choice; and supports the next generation through student arts programs, scholarships, and grants.
Our mission is to celebrate the artistry of film and to educate viewers with film offerings conceived and created through a uniquely Jewish lens. Our intention is to entertain, to provoke discussion, and to provide experiences that engage both mind and heart. We hope that our festival will help bridge cultural and religious differences and contribute to solidarity and peace within our greater community.
HARA is dedicated to nourishing the hearts, minds, and spirits of young professionals who feel drawn to represent life through new media--providing Monterey Bay high school students film-making and acting training through hands-on experience producing original films in order to prepare them for a sustainable career in the collaborative arts.
