16th Annual Seaside Artist Tour

The Seaside Artists Association holds a yearly Artist Tour, during which the public can tour the studios, garages or backyards of working artists, learn about their processes, and have the ability to purchase artwork directly from them. They are all in Seaside, so you can easily see all the artists in an afternoon! It will be held September 16-17 this year. 2023’s tour map will be printed by the end of August. An Evening with the Curator: Wendy Van Wyck Good

Join curator Wendy Van Wyck Good for a guided tour of The Bruton Sisters: Modernism in the Making. Wendy will discuss the fascinating lives of these local women artists, their impact on the modern art scene in California, and why they were nearly forgotten by the time of their deaths. She’ll also describe the Brutons’ unique techniques and innovative approach to materials as she offers a deeper dive into some of the works on display.

On Sunday, May 21, 2023, SpectorDance’s Ocean Arts Festival will take place at the Monterey Museum of Art from 1-4 pm. Monterey County Artists Studio Tour

The Monterey County Artists Studio Tour is a self-guided tour of artists’ studios and exhibition spaces throughout the County, taking place over two weekends, September 30 & October 1 and October 7 & 8, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with more than 150 participating artists.
