Flute Choir Camp, Session 1

Candiotti Flute Studio is offering two 5-day Flute Choir Camp sessions this summer, June 12-16 and June 26-30, 2023. Flute Choir Camp is a summer camp for young flutists who want to meet other flutists, learn flute ensemble music, or try out another instrument in the flute family. It is directed by Monterey County flute teacher, Jennifer Candiotti. For over 70 years, The Carmel Foundation has offered a wide variety of free or low-cost creative activities to engage the mind, spirit and body of adults 55 years and better on their Carmel campus. Older adults from throughout Monterey County participate. Classes offered include singing, Greek and line dancing, memoir writing, improv, Spanish conversation, yoga, Ji Gong and more. Poetry Out Loud

Poetry Out Loud encourages high school students to learn about poetry through memorization, performance, and competition. Participants master public speaking skills, build self-confidence, and learn about literary history and contemporary life. California’s Poetry Out Loud is the largest event of its kind in the U.S., and has grown steadily since its inception. The 2018 competition series encompassed 46 counties, 261 schools, and 783 teachers, reaching nearly 73,000 students statewide.

The Carmel International Film Festival celebrates and promotes the best in independent film, contemporary art and photography; nurtures the artists who are compelled to tell their stories in the medium of their choice; and supports the next generation through student arts programs, scholarships, and grants.

William A. Karges Fine Art is internationally known as one of the premier galleries specializing in historically important, museum quality Early California paintings executed between 1880 and 1940. Armin Hansen,William Wendt, Agnes Pelton, Selden Gile and Granville Redmond are among the artists in the gallery’s holdings. We also handle fine American paintings by artists such as Robert Vonnoh and Childe Hassam. The gallery is also known for its superior level of scholarship and the museum quality publications produced over the last few years.
