Nonprofit Day: Celebrating the Organizations That Fill the Gaps and Strengthen Community

On Nonprofit Day, we honor the powerful role that nonprofits play in meeting the needs of our communities—especially where other systems fall short. At the Arts Council for Monterey County (Arts4MC), we are proud to be part of this vital network, using the arts as a force for healing, education, connection, and economic growth.

Every day, Arts4MC helps fill critical gaps by bringing arts education into schools, providing healing arts programs for those in recovery or crisis, supporting working artists, and making the arts accessible to all, regardless of income or background.

And now, we’re making it even easier for our community to connect and participate. Our newly redesigned website, arts4mc.org, is more than just a resource; it’s a collaborative space built for our community. We invite you to help shape it, submit your own arts events, share your work for our resource directory, and connect with fellow creatives across Monterey County. We want this site to be a true hub where inspiration, opportunity, and community come together.

Starting this month, we’re also expanding our reach with a new office location at Sol Treasures in King City, where community members can meet with us by appointment. This collaboration underscores the importance of nonprofits working together to serve the region more equitably and effectively.

Your support makes all of this possible. On this Nonprofit Day, consider making a monthly or one-time donation to help us continue to bridge the gaps, empower local artists, and ensure the arts are a vibrant part of every Monterey County community.

Join us at arts4mc.org and help keep the arts thriving—for everyone.
