This November, stories from around the world will take center stage as the 2025 Carmel Jewish Film Festival (CJFF) returns offering 9 compelling films to screens in Carmel, Pacific Grove, Sand City and Monterey.
Presented by Congregation Beth Israel/CBI, the festival begins with a Celebratory Opening Matinee on Sunday, Nov. 2, continues through Sunday, Nov. 16, and includes VIP receptions, community dinners, and conversations designed to spark dialogue and connection.

3-5 p.m. — film screening
Followed by Optional festive dinner at Flaherty’s Restaurant, Carmel ($50 per person; tax & tip included, drinks extra)
About the film
An ultra-Orthodox Jew from Brooklyn and a Bedouin man cross the Sinai Desert after a broken-down car and a runaway camel derail their plans. What begins as a culture clash evolves into a journey of survival, humor and unlikely friendship.
