GRANT PROGRAMS OVERVIEW
The mission of the Arts Council for Monterey County is to improve the quality of life for everyone in our region through the arts. Our grants help organizations and individuals extend their reach and deepen their impact. Thanks to support from the Monterey County Board of Supervisors and the Economic Opportunity Community, The David and Lucile Packard Foundation and the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, we offer the following opportunities. Please review the eligibility and deadlines for each program as noted below. (Note that applicants may receive only one grant per year from any eligible grant program.)
1) County Arts and Culture Grants Program. Eligibility: All arts and culture organizations with 501(c)(3) status or a confirmed fiscal sponsor serving Monterey County residents. Cycle 1 Deadline: Fall – October 20; Cycle 2 Deadline: Spring – Feb 15. Click on application to proceed.
2) Community Arts Grants Program. Eligibility: All arts and culture programs with organizations whose budget and assets are each under $100,000. Deadline: Monthly until funds are expended. The Fall 2017 Community Arts Grants Cycle is now closed. Updates will be available during Spring 2018.
3) Community Arts Grants Program (East Salinas). Eligibility: All arts and culture programs based in or primarily serving residents of East Salinas. Deadline: Monthly until funds are expended. The Fall 2017 Community Arts Grants (East Salinas) Cycle is now closed.
Updates will be available during Spring 2018.
4) Local Emerging Artists Program / LEAP. Eligibility: Individual artists with three years demonstrated experience and fewer than ten years professional experience. Deadline: Feb 15. Click on application and guidelines for more details.
