County Grants

All Groups with 501(c)(3) status

The mission of the Arts Council for Monterey County is to improve the quality of life for everyone in our region through the arts. We are proud to partner with the Monterey County Board of Supervisors to award grants to nonprofit organizations dedicated to serving Monterey County residents. Applicants may apply for every grant for which they are eligible within any fiscal year (July 1  – June 30).

The deadline is October 20, 2017. The grant application is under revision and will be ready for use by September 1,  2017.
Email Klara at for the grant application or to be added to the mailing list.

Funding categories are: Cultural Tourism, Arts Education, Programs for Rural Communities and Small Business Support.

If you want to pursue grant funds of any sort, you must have either your own 501(c)3 status officially granted by the IRS
or a fiscal sponsor.

Please note:
If your organization budget is less than $100,000 — better option may be: Hewlett Cultural Grant
If your program primarily serves east Salinas residents — better option may be: East Salinas Arts Grants
(Deadline is rolling. Reviews completed monthly)
