SUMMARY:Workshop: Creating Strong Paintings from Photos
DESCRIPTION:The Central Coast Art Association is offering a workshop with award-winning Monterey artist Christine Crozier on April 26th. Christine will guide you through principles and techniques for creating strong paintings from photos and making a compelling piece of art rather than merely making a painting of a photo. This workshop is open to oil\, acrylic\, watercolor\, and pastel artists. It will cover composition\, value\, editing\, texture\, and the use of color. Christine will demonstrate and provide individual guidance throughout the day. The workshop fee is $50.00 for CCAA Members and $80.00 for non-members. The children of one of the most affected villages learn to transform their trauma through poetry and painting. In San Gregorio Atlapulco\, the creation of community through art shows us that when the earth opens\, our hearts open up too.\n\nEn el 2017 un terremoto sacude a México. Los niños de San Gregorio Atlapulco\, uno de los poblados más afectados\, aprenden a sublimar el trauma a través de su mundo poético interior y los colores de la pintura.
