FRIDAY\, APRIL 18\, 2025 • 4:30-6:30pm At Chualar Market • 24335 Grant Street\, Chualar\, California 93925. Mural by renowned artist: Hanif Panni Free Tacos & Raffle • White Hawk Aztec Dancers • Community Resource Fair. To Table or More Info\, Call The Office of Supervisor Luis Alejo 831-755-5011 This Bracero Legacy Mural is also in memoriam of the 32 #Bracero workers\, ages 19-59\, who were killed in Chualar\, California when 57 Bracero celery workers were hit by a freight train in the makeshift truck they were being transported in. 25 workers survived. The legendary #ErnestoGalarza was appointed by Congress to investigate. 9\,000 attended the funeral at Palma High in Salinas! Many families in the Salinas Valley and beyond are here today because these hardworking men came here to work\, contribute to this nation and find a better life for their families.
