It’s not just about the artwork\, but your experience of it.\n\nIn this hands-on ekphrastic poetry workshop\, participants will explore the art of writing poetry inspired by visual works of art and create a poem of their own! Drawing inspiration from artworks in MMA’s current Big Sur exhibitions\, you’ll choose from a few pre-selected pieces to write about. Finished poems will be collected in a notebook that will stay with each artwork. An accompanying poetry reading will take place at MMA’s October First Friday.\n\nOpen to all experience levels!
