DESCRIPTION:California State Parks Announces “Los Exploradores de Monterey” Summer Day Camp \nMONTEREY\, Calif. — California State Parks will offer Los Exploradores de Monterey Summer Day Camp\, an immersive educational program for students in grades 3–5\, at Monterey State Historic Park this summer. \nDesigned to connect young learners with the cultural and natural history of Monterey\, the weeklong day camp provides hands-on experiences rooted in the region’s past. Campers will explore historic adobes\, gardens\, and surrounding natural areas while participating in activities inspired by 19th-century life\, including games\, crafts\, songs\, dances\, food traditions\, nature observation\, and interactive guided tours. \nThe program is led by California State Parks staff and sponsored by the Monterey State Historic Park Association. Los Exploradores de Monterey highlights the diverse cultures that shaped one of California’s most historically significant towns while offering an engaging\, educational summer experience. \nTwo five-day camp itineraries are offered in June and July. \nCamp A will be held June 15–19 and July 20–24.\nCamp B will be held June 22–26 and July 27–31. \nAll sessions run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The cost is $325 per session. Families who register for both Camp A and Camp B may do so at a discounted rate of $550. \nLos Exploradores de Monterey is designed for elementary students entering grades 3–5 and takes place entirely within Monterey State Historic Park and select nearby locations. \nAdditional information and registration details are available through Monterey State Historic Park.
