DESCRIPTION:You’re cordially invited to celebrate the history and tradition of the Ancient Maya Writing System at the Sol Treasures Art Gallery. From May 5th- June 26th\, 2023\, the gallery will be showcasing the Thirteenth Bak’tun Codex by Ignacio Fernandez and Carmen Gomez Vega alongside the storytelling talents of renowned Oaxacan storyteller Gabriel Martinez.  \nJoin us for the opening reception on May 5th from 5:30-8 pm. Where you can view the captivating blend of traditional and contemporary artistic expressions that explore the rich cultural heritage of the Americas and pre-Columbian times.   \nDon’t miss the artist talk with Ignacio Fernandez and storytelling by Gabriel Martinez from 6-7 pm where you can learn more about the history and tradition of the Maya people.  \nIn addition\, there will be Aztec dancers and an outdoor workshop where you can create your own mini Maya Codex\, making for a fun and interactive experience for all. We can’t wait to share this unique and enriching cultural experience with you.
