SUMMARY:Audio-Visual Storytelling with a Smart Phone Camp: 2026 Summer Camps at the Lyceum
DESCRIPTION:This 1-week camp will cover the fundamentals of audio-visual storytelling\, lighting and recording techniques\, and editing and post production to produce a short film. \n• A must for content creators in front and behind the camera.\n• Go beyond simple clips and start storytelling.\n• Learn from a TV producer\, and award-winning photographer\, iPhotographer and graphic designer.\n• Learn the basics of scriptwriting\, storyboarding\, casting\, lighting\, cinematography\, sound\, and editing.\n• Get new ideas and inspiration to take your video and storytelling to new levels. \n• Monday: Pre-production including scriptwriting\, storyboarding\, location scouting\, and casting.\n• Tuesday: Costumes\, hair and make-up\, lighting\, directing talent\, cinematography\, and sound.\n• Wednesday: More lighting\, directing talent\, cinematography\, and sound.\n• Thursday: Editing and post production.\n• Friday: Film festival and critique\, and video scavenger hunt. \n• Required equipment: Smart phone camera (iPhone 10 minimum or equivalent).\n• Suggested equipment: tripod with phone holder\, selfie stick\, flashlight or light cube \nAges: 11 – 15\nDates: June 15 – 19\, 2026\nHours: 9:30am – 2:30pm\nLocation: Lyceum\nInstructor: Steve Zmak\nClass Size: Limited to 10 Students\nFee: $365
