The Art Careers Academy at Monterey High School is a California Partnership Academy, a school- within-a-school, for students interested in the Visual and/or Performing Arts.
Kim and Cindy use an academic-based art program and offer classes in the following categories:
- Drawing Through the Alphabet for children ages 4 through 6
- Drawing Through Geography for ages 6 through 10
- Basic Drawing for children 6 through 12
- Math Tutoring and Art for grades 3 – 5
- Intermediate Drawing for ages 8 through adult
- Advanced Drawing for ages 12 through adult
Acknowledged as one of the finest, young quartets in the country, the Baumer String Quartet was founded in 2003 by a group of young musicians at the Cleveland Institute of Music. The members of the quartet pursue parallel careers as international soloists, leaders and principal players of world-class orchestras, as members of eminent chamber groups, and as tutors and professors of music. The Baumer String Quartet comes together for a limited touring schedule on a project-by-project basis inspired by the success of the East Coast Chamber Orchestra and the New Orford String Quartet.
The community stands witness to the challenges of under privileged kids that want, and deserve, a chance for a full and rewarding life. This chance is well within reach, with help from our community.The Boys & Girls Clubs of Monterey County have been a vital part of this community for over 45 years.
California Views was established November 29, 1970 and is located in historic Monterey, on the California Central Coast, this unique photo archive is the most comprehensive Historical Photo Collection of the Monterey Bay area.

The Carmel Classic Guitar Society (CCGS) promotes the classical guitar through education, workshops, recitals, lectures, and gatherings for the public. The CCGS serves the youth and underserved elderly and ailing residents of Monterey County through its two arts programs The Guitar in Schools and the Healing Guitar.

Artist Robert Glick is represented by American Art Gallery in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California. Glick continues to work in his Carmel-by-the-Sea studio and has just completed “O Deer”, an acrylic on canvas painting, (36” x 72”). A group of paintings, the “Shoreline Series”, was also recently completed. Contemporary galleries complement the old-world elegance and lavish rose gardens of this gorgeous, historic estate. Located in one of Monterey’s oldest neighborhoods, La Mirada began as a modest stone adobe in the Mexican period. It was later remodeled to become an elegant home where the great stars of silent film were entertained. In 1994, the gallery wing was added to accommodate outstanding exhibitions that change several times a year. MMA La Mirada is a perfect venue for weddings, meetings and special events.
Our mission is to foster, manage, and support live productions of diverse forms of the performing arts at the Golden State Theatre in Monterey with particular attention to operatic arias presented in concert form.
The MPAF gallery has had several locations. The present Cannery Row location has been the most successful even during bad economic times. Russell Levin, born and raised in California, became involved in photography at a very early age. Learning photography from his father, he developed and printed his first roll of film at the age of ten. His education was furthered when at the age of 14 he spent a year in Mexico with his father. His father was a guest teacher at the Art Institute in San Miguel de Allende. Russell spent time photographing the bullfights, and quickly developed a passion for photographing people and action images. In high school Russell worked for the school newspaper/year book in addition to shooting sports for the local newspaper. Within a short time, Russell was receiving assignments from the San Francisco Chronicle and the San Jose Mercury. Before turning twenty, he had over 1000 photographs published in newspapers through out the state.
