Hi I am a local artist. I have been painting and teaching for over 30 years. I teach kids, adults or groups. My main medium is watercolor but I also work In Acrylic and drawing materials. My classes are $25. Per hr. $45. For 2hr. Times are flexible and buy 4 get the 5 class free.
Maria Boisvert, born and raised in New England and moved to San Jose, CA in 1979. She developed her interest for drawing and painting at an early age and was recognized and encouraged by her instructors throughout her academic years. From her appreciation of the California landscape, to the people she has encountered abroad, Maria has successfully captured the beauty and culture that surrounds her.
Illustrate some of your favorite local nocturnal animals. Together we will learn about nocturnal animals that can be found in Monterey County including bats, owls, raccoons and opossums!
After a brief introduction to these animals, we will use science illustration techniques to create a personalized field guide for some of these misunderstood creatures of the night.
We will focus on scientific accuracy while drawing our nocturnal friends. Students will use graphite, pen & ink, colored pencil and watercolor to create the illustrations.
