AFFORDABLE ART STUDIOS FOR RENT!
The Arts Council is pleased to support local artists by providing affordable studio and gallery space at the American Tin Cannery in Pacific Grove. These studios, ranging from 100 sq. ft. to 400 sq. ft., are available for visual arts use, with approximately 450 sq. ft. available for meetings and classes.
“Artworks” is an artist cooperative, which encourages collaboration and community, and fills the need of studio space for Monterey County artists. The studios will be open to the public on Saturdays and Sundays from 10am to 2:00pm.
We also hold a “Third Friday ArtWalk” every month from 6-8pm featuring local musicians, wine and refreshments, and art activities along with the amazing art of 20 artists!
Studios are leased on a first come, first served, space availability basis. The rental rate is currently $.75 per square foot, which includes utilities, plus 25% commission on all artwork sold on the premises. Artists will need to sign a sublease and provide liability insurance for their studio.
We are excited to provide this great opportunity to our local art community! For more information, please contact Jacquie Atchison, Deputy Director at jacquie(at)arts4mc.org
